Pricing Transparency Revised: Nov 25, 2025
The Hospital Price Transparency Rule Went Into Effect On January 1, 2021.
Hospital price transparency helps patients understand the cost of emergency services before receiving care. Starting January 1, 2021, all hospitals and emergency medical facilities in the United States are required to provide clear, accessible pricing information online in two ways:
Eldridge Parkway Emergency Room does not provide shoppable services.
We are a freestanding emergency medical care facility, and we do not offer hospital-based outpatient services that can be scheduled in advance. A “shoppable service” refers to a service that can be selected by a patient ahead of time (such as joint replacement surgery or physical therapy). Emergency services cannot be shopped for and therefore are not included as shoppable services.
Standard Charge Files
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) require hospitals and emergency medical facilities to provide a Standard Charge File for consumers to review. This file includes the five types of standard charges listed below. The Standard Charge File contains information from our chargemaster and payer-negotiated agreements, but it does not reflect your insurance plan’s responsibilities. If you have insurance coverage, please contact your insurance provider to discuss payment obligations.
