No Surprise Billing
Effective January 1, 2022, the federal No Surprises Act protects people with most health-insurance plans from unexpected out-of-network charges for:
- Emergency-room visits.
- Non-emergency care associated with an in-network hospital, hospital outpatient department or ambulatory surgical center visit.
- Air-ambulance services.
Eldridge’s No-Surprise-Billing Policy
Eldridge’s policy predates the 2022 law. The facility states that its patients have not received unexpected charges from Eldridge.
Your post-visit invoice includes facility services, specialists and ancillary care. Eldridge directly employs its physicians, so you will not receive a separate physician invoice.
Insurance-company billing is outside Eldridge’s control. If your insurer sends an unexpected emergency-service bill after a visit here, contact the help desk so the team can work with you to resolve it.
